Kristen Marquis is an active member of the California Bar with a passion for, and knowledge of, Social Media. It began in law school, when she maintained the blog and website for a large Los Angeles law firm, posting blogs seven times a week and watching the firm fill up Google search result pages, thanks to her search engine optimized and key work targeted posts. Experiencing the benefits firsthand, she recognizes the strength of the world wide web and the value in building one’s name and business through a targeted web presence.

Kristen received her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University’s School of Law. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin; graduating from the Red McCombs School of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration, emphasis in Marketing. An NCAA scholarship athlete at Texas, Kristen competed for the Women’s Swimming and Diving team as a springboard and platform diver.

Kristen sits on the board of the Santa Monica Bar Association and serves as the Secretary. She is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Orange County Bar Association, and Beverly Hills Bar Association. Additionally, Kristen volunteers at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Before founding WebPresence, Esq., Kristen focused on employment law, financial services, and mass tort litigation. Additionally, she worked at the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, the US Department of the Treasury – Domestic Finance, and in Business and Legal at MTV Networks.
